Resume

Everybody has a passion.

You might say that mine is energy, but that wouldn't be completely accurate. My passion is people. I personally believe that the most effective way for me to help as many people as possible, both currently and in future generations, is by working with the development of sustainable energy solutions. So yes, my passion is energy - energy that can empower humanity.

Renewable Energy

My first project with renewable energy was in 2005 working with more efficient biomass cookstoves in Brazil. Since then I have worked for multiple companies and research organizations on projects related to renewable energy, international development, and greenhouse gas emissions.  For more information about my projects, from designing a green classroom to creating a carbon footprint calculator to analyzing China's technical solar thermal potential, take a look at my resume and portfolio.

More than just an Engineer
Water Drop

Technical competence has always been valued in areas such as energy, but in today's global economy it is not enough to compete.  To naturally adapt to a quickly changing landscape, knowledge-workers need  a broader understanding and a zest for learning.

That is why after I received my bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, I decided to pursue an interdisciplinary degree in Energy and Resources at the University of California, Berkeley.  My additional understanding of business, policy, and social science means that I can adapt quickly and see new problems in multiple dimensions.  Change?  Bring it on.
